Today I planted up a section of the drainage channel with some Juncus sp. that I had to remove to get some bramble out. Although it doesn't look like much, I believe that this is an idea position for this plant and I will take a follow up photo to show the progress.
Being planted quite far upstream of most of the other channels, perhaps once these plants have established themselves they will disperse seed downstream and make tge rest of the channels more aesthetically pleasing and habitable too, and possibly aid in tge filtration of water running through the channels.
